Sanctuary of Silence

I loved with all the world had taught me,

Patience gleaned from endless seasons,

Hope borrowed from dawns that rise

After interminable nights of shadow.

I loved quietly, as oceans orbit the moon,

Never chasing, only responding when called.

True strength is forged not by what you gain, but by what you endure.

I spoke once, not with anger,

Not with drama, only with honesty.

My words carried the weight of longing,

Yet vanished into a void where echoes fade.

Your silence-your deliberate non-reply-

Was a cruelty that outshone gentle hearts.

The kindest souls often feel the deepest pain.

No explanations, no acknowledgments,

Not even a soft farewell.

Even your laughter, your hollow words,

Felt like shadows over a wounded heart.

I dislike your jokes-

A small sting added to your neglect.

Never let another’s indifference shake your sense of worth.

It was absence magnified,

A weight pressing on a soul

That loved with sincerity.

Yet within that heavy silence,

My spirit found its voice-

A symphony of resilience rising from rejection.

Courage whispers quietly at the end of each day, promising another chance tomorrow.

I stopped chasing fleeting illusions

And stood firm within the sacred space

Where love truly lives-not in pursuit,

Nor in coercion, but in inner dignity and patience.

Love that demands begging is not love at all.

Respect for oneself is the foundation upon which all love is built.

Days went by, messages left unanswered,

Letters unopened, like prayers unheard.

The silence that once resounded with rejection

Became a sanctuary of self-awareness,

Where my worth no longer depended

On fleeting echoes of unreturned affection.

Loving oneself is the beginning of a lifelong journey.

The cruelty of your indifference,

Mixed with hollow jest,

Was softened by the grace I discovered

In my own steadiness and strength.

Now, amidst echoes of what never arrived,

I hear my own voice ring out-resilient, free.

What breaks you teaches resilience; what silences you makes you stronger.

Love’s deepest essence is not in chasing,

Nor in a frantic race for validation.

It dwells in a patient, sacred refuge,

Where authenticity can flourish freely.

In the silence you left behind,

I found my voice,

And within it, I rediscovered myself.

Your worth does not diminish because someone fails to recognize it.
