The Love of Waves

She walks alone where the waves meet the shore,
Listening for footsteps she waits for once more.
The evening wind carries a whispering tune,
A song of the ocean beneath the pale moon.

Her eyes follow boats that disappear in the blue,
Searching the horizon, still dreaming of you.
The sea keeps your memories close to her heart,
Though miles and silence may keep you apart.

The waves come running to touch the land,
Like a lover reaching for a waiting hand.
They leave with the tide, they wander away,
But return to the shore at the break of day.

She learns from the ocean, patient and true,
That love can survive when hearts are two.
For even the waves that travel so far
Still find their way back beneath the same star.

The storms may rise and the nights may fall,
The sea may answer with a distant call.
But her love remains like the endless sea,
A timeless song of what you mean to me.

And when the moon shines over the shore,
She feels your presence forevermore.
For love is not lost when the waves depart-
It lives like the ocean, deep in the heart.

The shore may wait, the waves may roam,
Yet love will always search for home.
Through every tide, through every blue,
The sea keeps bringing her heart back to you.
