The Day I Found Us Again
I remember the days when you were my world,
when every moment with you felt like a dream unfurled.
Three years of love, two years as a pair,
we promised forever, we promised to care.
But somewhere along the way, we lost our light,
our words became fewer, our hearts filled with fights.
We lived under one sky but walked different ways,
lost in our silence, lost in our days.
I don’t even know when we started to fall,
when “us” became distant and love felt so small.
We only knew one thing, standing apart-
“I can’t live with you and walk my on way” said both of our hearts.
So we walked to the court with a decision made,
thinking goodbye was the choice we had laid.
Yet every time I saw you standing there,
the anger was gone, there was something still there.
Then one day I asked, “Shall we have some tea?”
A simple moment brought back the old me.
We sat and talked like we did before,
and slowly we opened the forgotten door.
We laughed about memories, the silly things we did,
the love we once shared, the happiness we hid.
You looked at me and I looked at you,
wondering where our old love flew.
Then I realized it wasn’t love that died,
it was time and care we kept aside.
Our ego was louder, our silence was strong,
but deep inside, we still belonged.
Maybe if we had talked that day,
instead of pushing each other away,
we wouldn’t have stood in a courtroom line,
searching for a love that was already mine.
I learned that leaving is easy to do,
but rebuilding takes two.
A relationship survives when both hearts try,
when “me and you” becomes “we” again, not goodbye.
And if someday love cannot stay,
we must still respect the separate way.
But before we let a beautiful story end,
we should try to listen… and try again.
So before you choose to walk away,
give love a chance, give words a way.
Don’t let pride become the wall,
when a little understanding can heal it all.
For hearts don’t break because love is gone,
sometimes they break when silence carries on.
Hold the hand that once held yours,
and water the love that still endures.
Because a relationship is not about never having a fight,
it’s about choosing each other again after the darkest night.
Listen, forgive, and let hearts speak true-
