The Judas Within (ii edition)

Poem :The Judas Within

Author:Jayankarthika

Laziness lingers when our bodies entwine

Soft breath dissolves the edges of the self

Time loosens knots it learned to call a name

A heart lies open in a wine-bright cup

Warm silence circles thought like drifting smoke

A red dragonfly marks borrowed light

Its wings move slowly through the mind’s deep tide

The heart learns weight by floating without will

We hold until enough forgets its fear

The night angel watches without a word

Her eyes teach darkness how to cradle flesh

Dawn hesitates outside the inner room

Some mornings never cross into the sun

A shadow kneels where love once named itself

Faith flickers, fed by what it cannot see

We walk with blades we once believed were vows

Betrayal breathes beneath familiar skin

A Judas wakes inside the quiet chest

Yet silver melts when held in open hands

The wound remembers how to close itself

No voice condemns the heart that stands exposed

Three truths return, no longer edged with fear:

To love without the armor of the past

To fall, forgiven by the ground itself

The heart releases what it feared to lose

Forgiveness settles like a second breath

The self stands still, and names itself as whole
