Love in Every Moment
Love is a quiet, gentle breeze,
I feel it whisper through the trees.
It asks for nothing, gives its all,
And stands beside me when I fall.
I find it walking city streets,
In corner cafés, quiet seats.
On country roads at evening’s glow,
Where porch lights hum and time moves slow.
We build no fences out of fear,
No walls of doubt to keep love clear.
Together reaching, near and far,
Across the land, where loved ones are.
I see it in a grandma’s smile,
A baby’s laugh that stays awhile.
In schoolyard gates and hospital halls,
Where hope feels small, yet softly calls.
We feel it waiting at the door,
In kitchens warm, on worn wood floors.
At bus stops, parks, and checkout lines,
In ordinary, passing time.
I don’t keep score of wrong or right,
I choose instead a gentler light.
A listening ear, a steady hand,
I learn love helps me understand.
Through storms of anger, hurt, and pain,
We trust that love will still remain.
It bends, it sways, may wear a bruise,
But never breaks, and never used.
I hear the pleas no words can say,
In silent rooms, at break of day.
I mend the pieces, one by one,
Until the work of healing’s done.
Like embers glowing late at night,
By firelight soft and shadows slight,
We tend the love we want to grow
With patient care we choose to show.
A call I make just to say “hi,”
A sunset’s hush across the sky.
A flower picked, then gently said-
Love lives in much I leave unsaid.
I won’t let busy days erase
The quiet power of love’s own grace.
For anger fades and worries cease
When wrapped in love’s enduring peace.
So I will love with open heart,
And we begin each day to start.
In every place our lives invite,
I’ll be my part of hopeful light.
