Awakening Within

In shadows deep, I hid my silent fears,

A whisper’s voice was all I’d ever hear,

But something stirs beneath my quiet tears.


A spark ignites within my restless mind,

A flicker bright that dares to break the gloom,

It guides me through the darkness I can’t find.


Though scars run deep from battles long gone by,

I carry strength that no one else can see,

A fire that refuses yet to die.


The dawn breaks through the cracks of my despair,

A new day whispers promises of hope,

Reminding me I am still aware.


I rise from ashes of my broken past,

Embracing all the pain I’ve come to know,

For in my heart, I find my strength at last.

My feelings rise, then fall apart- So who am I, deep in my heart? *** I stopped and sat in silence there, And looked inside with simple care. I saw my thoughts just come and go, Like clouds that drift, then leave the sky slow. *** Then I asked, “Who sees all this?” In quiet calm, in gentle peace.
