A Face that Shines, a Heart that Glows

I saw her face, and my heart took flight,

A burst of love, a spark of light.

But like a seed, it’s fragile, small,

Easily crushed by the weight of it all.

Her flaws, they whisper soft and clear,

A gentle warning, a quiet fear —

That love and hurt share the same coin’s side,

And I’m not sure which way to abide.

Her anger — a stormy night,

Calm turns sudden into fight.

I want to hold her through the hour,

But how can I, when her tempers devour?

I’m torn between love and self-preservation too,

A fragile balance I’m not sure I can do.

Yet as I look at her — flaws and all —

I know I’ll stay, through the rise and the fall.
