The Path of Worth:My view
For worth is not in forced acclaim,
But in the quiet, whispered name
Of self-respect, a gentle grace,
To find your worth in time and space.
Don't squander strength on empty pleas,
Nor barter dignity for ease.
The path of worth, a winding track,
Leads to the self you'll truly lack
If not embraced, if not held dear,
But found in quiet, gentle cheer.
Seek not the praise of judging eyes,
But find your solace in the skies.
Where value blooms, and souls align,
And leave the shadows far behind.
No need to prove, no need to plead,
Just walk away, and find your creed.
A door is closed, a path is barred,
No need to knock, no need to plead.
My worth is not a hand of cards,
To be held by those who plant a weed.
The words they speak are bitter stones,
To build a wall and not a home.
Why cling to brittle, borrowed thrones,
When I can stand and walk alone?
The tongue's sharp blade, a hurtful gleam,
Can carve deep wounds, a whispered scream.
To argue 'gainst a deafened ear,
Is but to sow a seed of fear.
No need to mend a broken vow,
Nor justify a whispered "now."
When hearts are closed, and minds are set,
Withdraw, and let the silence get
Its rightful place, serene and deep,
Where peace and solace softly sleep.
Why water soil that won't accept?
Why argue with a sullen sky?
A different garden can be kept,
Where sun is warm and spirits fly.
Let silence be my final plea,
My absence be my last reply.
The air they breathed is not for me;
My peace is worth a higher price.
So turn the heel, and take the air,
Don't shrink a soul to fit a space.
Let go the weight, the silent prayer,
And find a new and peaceful place.
With every step, my burden sheds,
The quiet wounds begin to heal.
I walk toward the path that leads
To a truer self, a spirit real.
