My Waves of Life
Like tides that kiss my restless shore,
My life’s waves roll in evermore,
A dance of hope and silent fear,
A whisper only I can hear.
They surge with dreams both bright and bold,
Each crest a story I’ve retold,
Unpredictable, fierce, and wide—
A journey only I can ride.
Some waves are gentle, soft, and slow,
A lullaby in ebb and flow.
They bring me gifts—a friend’s warm hand,
A simple joy I understand,
The quiet sunrise, soft and gold,
A precious memory to hold.
They cradle me in tender grace,
And leave a calm, comforting trace.
Others crash with roaring might,
A tempest in the dead of night.
They bring the sting of bitter loss,
The heavy weight of sudden cross.
A broken trust, a whispered lie,
A dream that flickers, fades, and dies,
Testing my strength, igniting fire,
Awakening deep desire.
In every wave’s relentless sway,
I learn to dance, to find my way—
To stand on shifting, trembling sand,
To reach and offer out my hand.
Within the space where swells collide,
A deeper strength begins to guide—
A quiet resolve, a steady ground,
A peace in rhythm’s gentle sound.
The ocean’s depths, so vast, so deep,
Hold secrets that it softly keeps.
Currents of my past run strong,
Binding me in lifelong song.
A sacred symphony so true,
A part of me, and part renewed,
A love that shapes my soul’s own sea,
A song that sets my spirit free.
So I brave the waves, let courage steer,
Through storm and calm, through doubt and fear—
For in each swell, each rising tide,
I rise again, with hope as guide.
The ocean’s song, both fierce and kind,
Reflects the rhythm of heart and mind,
And in its vast, unending flow,
I find my strength—my truest glow.
