The Mango Shower Dance(By a schoolboy and a frog)

👦🏻 School boy Jayakuttan:
Today the skies wore grey and gold,
And thunder sang so loud and bold.
I closed my books, forgot my test,
And ran outside — no time to rest!
The humid air, a drowsy sigh,
Now tingled with the promise nigh.
Oh, Mambazha Mazha! a whispered plea,
For cool relief to set us free.

The first few drops came soft and shy,
Like tiny whispers from the sky.
They kissed the earth, the leaves, the swings,
And filled the breeze with mango wings.
The thirsty soil, it drank them deep,
As secrets from the clouds would seep.
A gentle blessing, light and true,
The world refreshed with emerald hue.

🐸 Frogy:
Croak! said I, in puddle wide,
My kingdom wakes, I leap with pride.
The rain is back! My pond’s alive,
With dragonflies that dive and dive.
This Blossom Shower, pure and sweet,
Wakes slumbering life beneath my feet.
The coffee flowers, white and bright,
Unfurl their petals in the light!

👦🏻 School boy Jayakuttan:
I danced with frogs, with muddy feet,
No classroom floor could feel this sweet.
The tamarind tree began to sway,
As rain wrote songs in soft array.
The air, so fresh, a cool embrace,
Washed summer's dust from every trace.
On glistening leaves, the drops reside,
A thousand diamonds, side by side.

Last night's wild, dancing breeze,
Shook hidden treasures from the trees.
Now, as the morning sun appears,
I join my friends, calming all fears,
To gather ripe, green, golden haul,
Before the early birds call!

🐸 Frogy:
The koel sings a monsoon tune,
The mango trees will blossom soon.
I croak, I jump, I splash and slide,
In every drop, I laugh and glide!
The cicadas join with joyful buzz,
A symphony the rain creates for us.
The frogs of all the ponds around,
Echo my happy, booming sound!

👦🏻 School boy Jayakuttan:
No bell to ring, no chalk, no chart,
Just rhythm thumping in my heart.
Me, a boy with dreams so wide,
And Froggy there, right by my side.
The hills in mist, a verdant grace,
Reflect the smile on nature's face.
The heat recedes, a gentle hand,
As life awakens through the land.

🐸 My Frogy & me:
Oh mango showers, fall and play,
And wash our dusty thoughts away.
Let frogs rejoice and children run —
Beneath your clouds, the world is fun!
From Coffee Showers' gentle kiss,
To Mambazha Mazha's pure bliss,
The season's beauty, wild and free,
A vibrant, joyful jubilee!
