Lessons from the Leafy Canopy

Lessons from the Leafy Canopy

In the heart of the jungle, where shadows play deep,

Lived Buru the ape, whose wisdom did keep.

His fur held the silver of seasons gone by,

And a knowing gleam shone in his thoughtful brown eye.

One bright jungle morning, his voice, calm and clear,

Invited the creatures, "Come gather and hear!

This world spins with puzzles, with twists and with turns,

So rest in the shade, and discover what learns!"

🐾

The lion prince, golden, with confident stride,

The monkeys like ribbons, swung down side by side.

A zebra, a parrot, a snake from the bough—

All hushed in the stillness to listen to now.

"Kindness blooms outward," old Buru began,

"A good turn returned helps the whole jungle clan.

But be sharp," he then warned, with a thoughtful slow blink,

"Fine feathers can hide what a foolish heart thinks."

On Friendship's True Path:

"Choose friends with great care; not all smiles mean true.

Some fade when the skies lose their cheerful bright hue.

A true friend stands steady when tempests may blow,

A constant companion through hardship and woe."

A Cautious Approach:

"Don't rush into trust, nor take leaps in great haste,

For calm waters' surface can cleverly waste.

First test, then believe; first look, then you spring—

Deep down lie the secrets the shadows may bring."

The Company You Keep:

"Misery's embrace seeks more spirits to gloom,

So linger not long where sad songs fill the room.

Like the tireless ant, building grain by small grain,

Slow patience and effort bring joy and will gain."

The Power of Truth:

"Better to speak truth than a boastful untrue,

Though honesty sometimes brings trouble anew.

And if playful jokes from your spirit take flight,

Be ready when laughter returns in the night!"

Then turning his gaze to the lion so grand,

"To govern with wisdom throughout this green land,

Is not in loud roars or a show of your might,

But in fairness and justice, in doing what's right."

The leaves whispered softly as breezes went by,

A stillness descended beneath the blue sky.

Then Buru the Wise climbed back to his height,

Leaving lessons to blossom in jungle's soft light.

🌟 The Jungle Remembers 🌟

So heed, little beast—as your journey unfurls,

These ancient-old truths are the jungle's bright pearls:

Be gentle, be wise, let your judgments be slow,

And trust the deep compass that lives in your glow
