Oath of Peace
"Do not disturb the peace of the one who is peaceful, just by invoking the name of peace."
In tranquil waters, let silence flow,
Respect the calm of hearts aglow.
To disturb a peaceful soul’s repose
Is to disturb a garden that quietly grows.
A gentle whisper can ripple wide,
Shattering serenity once denied.
Like a delicate leaf on a quiet stream,
Peace is fragile, tender-a cherished dream.
So let us guard the peace within,
And nurture brotherhood from deep therein.
For harmony thrives where love is shared,
And mutual respect shows hearts have cared.
Let us vow never to harm another life-
Not with action, word, nor strife.
Every being deserves a peaceful space,
A life of dignity, privacy, and grace.
We are not bound to pry or break
The quiet sanctuaries others make.
Whatever one’s faith or chosen way,
Let us pledge this truth today:
“I shall not shatter another’s peace;
From my heart, let all harm cease.”
Be not a clown who mocks what’s kind-
Grow as a tree that shelters mankind.
For freedom blooms when we understand
Every soul has the right to stand.
So hold your words and soften your hand,
Respect the quiet-seek to understand.
In honoring peace, we find our grace,
A sacred gift in this fleeting space.
