You Are Not Here to Break

You are not here
to carry every burden,
to fold yourself
into the shape they find acceptable.

You are not here
to quiet your fire
for fear it might burn too bright.

Let go—
of the weight of eyes that watch,
of voices that speak
but do not stay
when the silence aches louder than words.

This life,
it isn’t made of sacrifices alone,
nor stitched only with sorrow
and duty and fear.

It is made of moments—
where your smile stretches without permission,
where joy arrives
unapologetically
and lingers.

Choose peace
over proving.
Choose softness
without shame.
Choose those who bring light,
not just noise.

And when the world becomes too much—
don’t run,
don’t break.
Stand still like a tree,
rooted in your becoming.

Let love be a daily rebellion.
Let laughter slip through your ribs like a song.
Let go of what drains.
Let in what heals.

Not everything stays,
and not everything should.
But you—
you must always stay with you.
