The Teacher's Light: An Unseen Crown
My teacher wears no crown,
Nor holds a scepter, robe, or gown.
They walk beside us every day,
In quiet words, in work and play.
A guiding hand, a patient soul,
With wisdom deep, to make us whole.
No grand pronouncements, loud and bold,
But quiet truths in stories told.
No ink-stained page, no well-worn phrase,
But wisdom whispered through life's maze.
A quiet knowing, softly shown,
On paths of growth, uniquely grown.
It’s not just books or chalk and board,
But kindness in a look or word.
It’s patience when we make mistakes,
And cheering on the path we take.
They plant the seeds of right and wrong,
Where kindness blooms and hearts grow strong.
They teach us grace when we might fall,
To answer duty’s quiet call.
They speak not just in worded lore,
But truths that open every door.
A kaleidoscope of thought and view,
Awakening the soul anew.
Beyond the lessons, clear and taught,
They show us battles bravely fought.
A teacher may be young or old,
With stories new or wisdom bold.
But what they give beyond the test
Is courage—how to try our best.
Through tangled sums and history’s might,
They show the path to inner light.
No ancient script, no scholar's tome,
Our truest lessons bring us home.
The heart's own language, felt and deep,
Where silent seeds of insight sleep.
Not just the facts, the dates, the names,
But how to play life’s nobler games.
For in their eyes, a trust we find—
A gentle force for heart and mind.
The best of teachers do not preach,
They guide, inspire, and gently teach.
And sometimes, though it may seem strange,
Our greatest teacher is a change.
Beyond the bindings, clear and bright,
They kindle our internal light.
With shifting angles, fresh and bold,
A story of the self unfolds.
No fame they seek, no worldly prize,
But light reflected in our eyes.
The moral compass, clear and true,
A gift they give to me and you.
They build up dreams with steady care,
And teach us burdens we can bear.
So open heart and open mind—
For teachers come in every kind:
From failure, pain, or falling down,
To rising up and wearing a crown.
From every challenge fiercely met,
A lesson learned we won’t forget.
The quiet wisdom, deeply sown,
On paths we walk to realms unknown.
For truth and growth, they light the way—
Our truest guides, through night and day.
