Moonlight Whisper

Why do tears trace down your pale cheeks,

Oh ,tranquil and whispering blue night?

Why fill the chambers of my lonely heart

With a song of sobs beneath your light?

When spring arrives, stripped of its tales,

And tries to write its poems on the wind,

The flowers bloom with silent sighs,

While lost tomorrows rise again.

When the midnight bird begins to sing,

It wakes the ghosts of days gone by,

And stirs the ashes of forgotten dreams

Beneath the cold and starless sky.

We wear a fragile veil of hollow smiles

To hide the quiet wreckage deep inside,

As we wander blindly toward love's shrine,

Where broken memories abide.

The moon spills silver on the sleeping earth,

Like tears that fall from heaven's eyes,

And every star becomes a distant hope

That flickers once, then fades and dies.

The winds recall the vows we made,

The whispered words we could not keep,

While lonely hearts embrace their grief

And drown their sorrows in their sleep.

Perhaps the night has loved too long,

Perhaps the moon has lost its dreams,

Perhaps the stars have learned to mourn

For all that vanished downstream.

And I, beneath this veil of blue,

Still search for words my heart cannot say,

For some wounds bloom in silence,

And some loves never fade away.

So tell me, Oh night, with your tearful eyes,

What sorrow clouds your endless skies?

Do you weep for hearts that broke in love,

Or for the dreams that never rise above?

Why do tears trace down your cheeks, Oh night?

Why does your silence echo my pain?

Are we both just shadows searching for dawn,

Waiting for sunlight that may never come again?
