Where Are You

Where are you now, in shadows that I keep?

Your voice remains, where silence once could sleep.

I walk alone, through memories we made;

Each step I take, feels like it starts to fade.


The nights grow long; your absence lingers near.

I hear your name, in echoes sharp and clear.

The dreams we built now drift like shattered glass;

I hold on still, though time continues past.


I search for you, in every empty place;

In fading light, I almost see your face.

My heart still asks the questions left behind-

But no reply brings comfort to my mind.


Where are you now, beyond this aching view?

A part of me is lost, and lives with you.

Though life moves on, I’m caught in what we knew;

Still whispering: “Where are you? where are you?”

I stand beneath the scorching sun Of endless expectations held so high, As each footprint of my dissolving dreams Fades into the desert's quiet sigh. My deepest dreams ache beyond a mirage- Just close enough to keep me walking on, Yet far enough that I can never touch The distant promise before it is gone. My eyes remain fixed upon the void, Staring into the empty, endless space, While the burning wind steals my silent cry, Sweeping my voice away without a trace.  The first monsoon drop, a whisper on my pane, Calls back Yamuna—her cool, dark breath of rain. Her essence fills the humid Vrindavan air, A primal rhythm stirring old despair. She came like storm, a wild and fierce desire, That taught my heart to ache with burning fire. Her voice, unspoken, in the drumming sound, A melody of pain on hallowed ground. Then softens rain to gentle, persistent grey, And Radha blooms—the light of waking day. Her quiet strength, a prayer in finest silk, A steady gaze, like sweet and calming milk.   On the field where steel once sang, beneath a sky choked with smoke and sorrow, a knight lay broken, face kissed by mud, his halberd shattered, his banner torn. From the painy drops of his eye, a single tear clung - not fallen, not free - balanced on the edge of ruin. That drop, a prisoner of pain, held a voice only silence could hear. It whispered to him not of glory,but of chains, away in the hands of slaves   a princess dragged  who bore no names -only whips and wounds. Slaves in the grip of time; Souls in an endless cycle.
